The Jet
Jered: Began racing quarter midgets on dirt at age 6. The next year he won his first feature race at the season finale. In 2003 he moved to California and raced twice at the famous Madera asphalt track, with a heat win and 3rd place. He moved back to Colorado at a new track close to home. In 2004 and 2005 he racked up 8 wins and two championships.
In 2006 he moved up to 600cc mini sprints for two races and finished 2nd in his first ever race to the state champ! In 2007 he mixed asphalt and dirt with the mini sprint. He collected 5 heat wins and a trophy dash win, but couldn’t find a feature win. He had six good chances at a win but had mechanical failures in his 13 races.
In 2008 he made the move up to full size stock cars at age 13, after the previous season was full of wrecked cars and disappointing finishes. He raced 10 of the 26 races and collected 2 top five finishes and a 12th in points.
After missing the 2009 season due to financial situations, he showed in the top division of Dirt Late Models! He won a heat in his 6th start and swept the heat and feature in his 7th try! He ended the season with 4 heat wins, a feature win, and 2nd in points for his rookie year. 2011 and 2012 consisted of 10 races and tough luck. Both years he showed at the Showdown in Jetmore, Kansas. This race brings in top notch drivers from all over the country with paying $12,000 to win! In 2011 he started 16th in the B-Main, drove up to 7th, and came off the track before driving up to 5th, one spot out of the transfer, before falling back to 10th. In 2012 at the big race, he suffered electrical, and transmission problems that would not let the car run at full power. He did however make the show both nights and collected $1,400!
2013 consisted of a short 4 race season before blowing the engine in Lexington, NE racing with the SLMR. He had tough luck at each race with BST and his first night in Grand Island, NE.
In 2014 At the Fall Classic, Jered got 7th in his heat after getting hit at the start of the race. In the Main he started in 14th, drove up to about 8th before falling back to 12th from getting pushed high. He drove back to 10th before engine blew up. This was his lone start of the year.

For 2015 and 2016 Jered was a crew chief for mentor Danny Concelman in the Sport Mod division. They racked up 13 wins in 50 races and won the BST Championship in 2015.

In 2016 Jered returned to the race seat at season end for the Fall Classic and he made the Main Event to start 12th but did not finish. In December he got 4th in a Winter Series race. These were his first races in a Modified.

In 2017 Jered ran 6 races at I-76 Speedway where the season started with success but then bad luck struck after the first 3 races. He then ventured to Cortez, CO for a weekend double-header where he almost stole a heat race win and captured two top 5's.

In 2018 Jered made his lone start at a fall special in Jefferson, SD at Raceway Park. The race did not produce the results that were desired but provided optimism with a new car.

In 2019 Jered made two starts at I-76 Speedway back in his home state. Both heat races went well but he was caught up in crashes in both main events on the year.
